Cause & Effect

Cause and Effect is a type of paragraph that contains the author's analysis of cause and effect. This paragraph is begins with the causes which are outlined at the beginning of the sentence and is then drawn to a general conclusion which is the result of the described causes. 
Example :
- Because the alarm was not set, we were late for work.
- The moon has gravitational pull, consequently the oceans have tides.
- Since school was canceled, we went to the mall.
 
Generic structure : 
The cause and effect paragraph has the following structure or generic structure :
1. Have a main idea of the topic of sentence that will be covered in the whole paragraph.
2. Have supporting details or supporting sentences in the form of causes.
3. End with a concluding sentence or a conclusion in the form of a result.
 
Clue words of Cause :
- Because
- Since
- Cause
- Reason
- So that
- Unless
 
Clue words of Effect :
- If
- Consequently
- Therefore
- Thus
- Effect 
 
Cause and Effect is divided into two types, namely that those are followed by nouns, verbs or clauses.
1. Cause and Effect with Noun 
Formula 1 : Connector + Cause + Effect
Connector : due to, owing to, because of, as a result of, as a consequence of
Example : Due to (Connector) the storm (Cause) we cannot go to the beach (Effect)
  Formula 2 : Effect + Connector + Cause

Example : I got sick (Effect) due to (Connector) the cold weather (Cause)  

2. Cause and Effect with Verb or Clause
Connector : because, since, for, hence, thus, therefore, thereby, consequently, as a result
Example : Because her brother lives in Jakarta, she must visit him every month

Conclusion : 
Cause and Effect is a relationship between events or things, where one is the result of the other. This is a combination of action and reaction.

Conditional Sentence : Type 0

  BUILDING BLOCKS   Conditional Sentence is a compound sentence that contains conditions regarding a supposition, imagination, or an event that has not yet happened. In English sentences, this conditional sentence begins with "If" as a sign that the condition hasn't happened yet.. The conditional sentence form is If-clause + main clause . If you notice, the if-clause is part of the conditional sentence. Meanwhile, the main clause usually contains consequences or consequences of the preconditioned condition.   Conditional Sentence Type 0 This type is usually referred to as zero conditional sentences. This type of sentence is used when the results of a condition are materialized, aka explaining general truth and scientific facts. This sentence is usually in the form of the present tense with the formula : If + Simple present . Example : - If we burn paper, it becomes ash. - I feel sick if i eat too much. - If you don't brush your teeth, you get cavities. ACTIVE CONV

Conditional Sentence : Type 3

BUILDING BLOCKS Third conditional sentence is a conditional sentence when a condition can't possibly be realized at all. This can be described as a very impossible condition or just a dream or a imagination. In this third type of conditional sentence , the conditional sentence uses the past perfect equipped with auxiliary modalities such as would, could, and might. The formula used is : If + Past perfect + Would / Could / Might + Have + Past participle  Example : - We might have gone to South America if she had not been pregnant. - If i had cleaned the house, i could have gone to the movies - If i had locked the car, the thief wouldn't have stolen my car ACTIVE CONVERSATION   Conclusion :  Third conditional sentence is a conditional sentence when a condition can't possibly be realized at all.
